Whitley Bay Operatic Scoiety are proud to present the award winning musical 'Our House'
at Whitley Bay Playhouse from April 19th till the 23rd.
With rehearsals well under way, 'Our House' is shaping up to be another fantastic production for us. with the vibrant upbeat songs from the hit ska group Madness and the intricate writing of Tim Firth 'Our House' promsies to leave our patrons wanting more.
First presented at the Cambridge Theatre in London in 2002,
OUR HOUSE combines a witty and brilliantly-crafted romantic tale with the
energetic and often madcap songs of Madness. Our House is the story of
Joe Casey who, on the night of his sixteenth birthday, takes Sarah, the girl of his dreams, out on their first date. In an effort to impress her with bravado, he breaks into a building site overlooking his home on Casey Street, which is owned by Mister Pressman, a high-end property developer. The police turn up, at which point Joe’s life splits into two: the Good Joe, who stays to help, and Bad Joe, who flees.
